Here’s everything in the new ‘Elden Ring’ update
Elden Ring received another update yesterday (August 8). Here’s everything you need to know about it.
This is a relatively small update, mostly consisting of minor bug fixes for things added by the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. One of the most noticeable ones is that the Red Bear NPC has had their attack power reduced, as the damage of some attacks it used was “higher than intended”.
You should also be able to get into PvP sessions more easily now, as the team “fixed a bug that prevented players from invading other players’ worlds in some areas of Scadu Altus under certain circumstances.” What these mysterious circumstances were, we don’t know, but we don’t need to worry about them anymore.
Co-op will be less likely, however, as “a bug that allowed Cooperative multiplayer in some areas of Scadu Altus with no area bosses present” has been fixed, so no more surprise visits to your buddies.
In addition to this, there were bug fixes for summoned spirits that weren’t receiving the proper attack buffs and damage negation effects from the Revered Spirit Ash Blessing. You can see a full list of the bug fixes right here.
Earlier this week, streamer PointCrow’s pet goldfish beat the final boss of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, so if you’ve still not done that, you should start trying to catch up. Another player even managed to beat the boss in a single hit, so all of us who are still getting thrashed should feel bad.
In other news, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has had a new trailer for its zombies mode released, and it shows off the huge map, varied weapons and perks, and excellent movement controls.
