Here’s when ex-LOONA’s Chuu will make her solo debut
Former LOONA singer and TV personality Chuu will be releasing her debut solo mini-album next month.
On September 18 at midnight KST, the singer unveiled a trailer clip teasing her first solo mini-album, which will be released on October 18 at 6pm KST. It will mark Chuu’s debut solo release.
The new film-inspired teaser clip features the singer with her hair dyed pink as she poses and winks for the camera. Chuu then points to the sky, revealing the release date of her debut mini-album.
The announcement comes shortly after the K-pop idol concluded her lawsuit against former agency Blockberry Creative last month, which began shortly after the label fired her from girl group LOONA in November 2022.
All 11 remaining members of LOONA have since left the agency as well, with Hyunjin, Vivi, Yeojin, Gowon and Hyeju making their debut as new girl-group Loossemble last Friday. The quintet released their first mini-album ‘Sensitive’ and its title track of the same name under new agency CTDENM.
Meanwhile, Kim Lip, Jinsoul and Choerry made a comeback as sub–unit Odd Eye Circle earlier this year under their new agency Modhaus, where members Heejin and Haseul are also signed. The five LOONA members will be releasing music as solo and sub-units under the agency’s ARTMS project.
In other K-pop news, former NMIXX member Jini has announced the release of her debut mini-album ‘An Iron Hand in a Velvet Glove’ on October 11. The record will be preceded by a pre-release single a week prior.
