Here’s when the 2025 Emmys will take place

The date for the 2025 Emmy Awards has been locked in – find out more below.

Last night (March 5), the Television Academy took to social media to announce that the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will return on September 14. Additionally, The Hollywood Reporter notes that the ceremony will take place at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

No nominees have yet to be announced for the 77th Emmy Awards – the full list of nominations will be revealed on July 15.

The Septmeber 2024 ceremony marked the event’s return to its regular September broadcast after the Emmys’ 2023 event took place in January 2024 instead due to the Hollywood strikes in late 2023.

At the September 2024 ceremony, Shōgun walked away with 18 wins – shattering the record for the most nominated and most awarded single-season drama series ever. Among the awards won by Shōgun are Best Drama Series, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series and Best Directing for a Drama Series.

The Bear – which also set a record for the most nominated comedy series in a year with 23 nods – won 11 trophies including Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Writing, Best Directing and more.

Meanwhile, Hacks scored the largest upset of the night, beating out crowd favourite The Bear for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Baby Reindeer also took home several big awards, including Outstanding Writing in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, Outstanding Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie and Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series or Movie – check out the complete list of winners at the 2024 Emmy Awards here.
