Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Ballerini and Megan Moroney lead the list of this year’s nominees with three nods each. Kacey Musgraves, Brandy Clark, Brandi Carlile, Darius Rucker, Mickey Guyton, Kane Brown, Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen also landed nominations.
First-time nominees include Amber Riley, Ashley Cooke, Bret Michaels, Chayce Beckham, Hozier, Koe Wetzel, Stephen Wilson Jr., Tyler Childers, Warren Zeiders, Zach Bryan, Anne Wilson, Ella Langley, The Castellows and Tigirlily Gold.
Who is performing at the 2024 CMT Music Awards?
Sugarland and Little Big Town will re-team for another performance along with previously announced performers including Jelly Roll, Trisha Yearwood, Ballerini, Wilson, Moroney, Johnson, Britney Spencer, Parker McCollum, NEEDTOBREATHE, Jordan Davis, Old Dominion, Bailey Zimmerman, Keith Urban, Sam Hunt, Jason Aldean and Dasha.
In addition to performing, Yearwood will be honored with the June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award. The inaugural award, named after June Carter Cash, recognizes an artist that “demonstrates an exceptional dedication to the community and their fellow artists as Cash did,” according to a press release.
Ahead of the big show, CMT will debut TV specials for CMT Awards Weekend starting on Friday with CMT: Storytellers: Little Big Town at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT. CMT Crossroads: Nickelback & HARDY premieres on Saturday at 8p ET/7 p.m. CT followed by CMT Hot 20: 2024 CMT Music Awards Preview at 9a.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.
