The first special in 2024 tackles weight loss drugs like Ozempic, along with the US healthcare system.
A synopsis for the episode reads: “The advent of new weight loss drugs has a huge impact on everyone in South Park. When Cartman is denied access to the life-changing medicine, the kids jump into action.”
Where can I stream South Park: The End Of Obesity in the UK?
The special will be released on Saturday May 25 on Paramount+. The streaming service, which costs £6.99 a month in the UK, usually adds new episodes at 8am BST.
In the US, the episode will be available a day earlier on Friday May 24.
Will there be more episodes?
While there’s no specific release date for season 27, more episodes are in the pipeline. The show was renewed through to 2027 back in 2021, which guarantees it will continue through to season 30.
Along with these traditional episodes, more extended specials are also planned, with two expected to drop every year on Paramount+ through to 2027.
Since the show began in 1997, South Park has spawned a feature film along with various video games, including South Park: Snow Day!
