Ice Cube’s Big3 League Offers Caitlin Clark a $5 Million Deal
Ice Cube is a fan of Caitlin Clark.
So much so, that the entrepreneur and rapper’s Big3 League offered 22-year-old college basketball star Caitlin Clark a deal worth $5 million, according to People.
Ice Cube and Jeff Kwatinetz’s Big3 League was founded in 2017 and features 12 teams who play in a three-on-three format. Clark was offered a contract for eight regular season games and potentially two playoff games if her team qualifies.
While Big3 says the offer wouldn’t interfere with Clark’s lineup for the WNBA draft, Cube noted that Clark’s team hasn’t responded yet.
“They have it and if they wanna sign it, we’ll be happy to have her play in the Big3,” Cube noted during the Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday (March 27).
“This is a special situation, a special player that’s moving the needle in a lot of different areas, you know, ratings, attendance, ticket sales,” Cube added. “Of course, our sponsors are very interested in a player like this. This is our first look at planning to go after this aggressively because we know it would move the needle in the league and that’s where we wanna be.”
