Jade Thirlwall poses in the winners room with Pop Act award during The BRIT Awards 2025

JADE has spoken to NME following her winning her first BRIT Award as a solo artist. Check out what she had to say below.

The soloist and former Little Mix star received a nod at the 2025 edition of the BRITs, taking home the trophy for Best Pop Act.

With the victory, she secured her first BRIT Award as a solo act, and beat off competition from Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Lola Young and Miles Smith. She also delivered a theatrical performance of her single ‘Angel Of My Dreams‘ at the ceremony at The O2, and used her speech to thank her “Little Mix sisters”.

Speaking to NME after the ceremony, she said: “It’s crazy. I don’t know what I was expecting but I feel like the night couldn’t have gone any better for me. I’m very proud of myself and very proud of my team. I can’t believe I’ve won my first solo BRIT Award, it’s crazy.”

She also shared plans for the rest of 2025 – confirming that she is working on new material and looking organising a tour.

“The pipeline for me is more music coming very soon. An album this year too, lots of festivals, and then hopefully my own shows to perform this year as well,” she said. Check out the clip below.

On the night, JADE also got people talking for her red carpet appearance – showing up to the event wearing a full wedding dress and joined by her ‘music manager husband’. This was the monstrous, industry executive character that rules over her in the ‘Angel Of My Dreams’ music video.

Other performers on the night included Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Fender, Teddy Swims, The Last Dinner Party, Myles Smith, Lola Young, Ezra Collective and Jorja Smith. You can find a full list of winners here.

In other JADE news, at the end of the year, ‘Angel Of My Dreams’ landed at Number Five on NME‘s 50 best songs of 2024 list, and the debut solo single was described as “absolutely riveting”.

Since then, the singer has been announced as the third female headliner for this year’s Mighty Hoopla festival in London. She joins the bill alongside Kesha and Ciara, who were confirmed last October. Visit here for remaining tickets.
