Jamie will stage a five-night run in New York City between July 23-27 before playing a further five nights in LA from July 30 to August 3. The venues for the takeovers have not yet been confirmed.
Writing on social media, Jamie said: “It’s already been two months since ‘The Floor’. It was a mad and inspiring experience. I got to open my dream club, play 10 nights in a row with friends and collaborators, and create a space inspired by my own experiences in London’s underground club scene.
“Now I’m bringing ‘The Floor’ to NYC and LA for five consecutive nights in each city.”
He continued: “As with ‘The Floor’ in London, each venue and line up will be specially curated to represent the best in the local scene and my love for both these cities. They will be in Bushwick and DTLA, and the exact location will be revealed to ticket holders only.”
Tickets go on general sale at 12pm local time today (July 17) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. Check out the announcement post here:
Following the US residencies, Jamie will play two huge shows at Alexandra Palace in London on September 25 and 26.
He is set to release his second solo album ‘In Waves’ on September 20, marking his first solo full-length since 2015’s ‘In Colour’. The producer has already shared three singles from the project: ‘Baddy On The Floor’ (feat. Honey Dijon), ‘Treat Each Other Right’ and ‘Life’ (feat. Robyn).
In other news, Jamie has revealed that The xx are currently “having a good time” working on their next album in the studio. “I think it’s going to be difficult when we get a bit more into it, but ultimately that is going to make the record better,” he explained.
The update came after The xx – completed by Romy and Oliver Sim – reunited onstage during Jamie’s set at Glastonbury 2024. It was the first time they had performed together since 2018.
Romy spoke about being back in the studio with The xx during an interview with NME in March.
“[The xx have] been in the studio since I last spoke to NME and we’re in the studio again next week, so we’re meeting up regularly,” she explained at the time. “It’s been really good. I think we’ve all spent time apart and it’s healthy to miss each other.”
Romy added: “We’re just keeping it really open and we’re up for trying new things, but it sounds like us. That’s all I can say right now.
“We’ve learned a lot from our different solo projects and it’s cool to learn from each other again. We grew up together and we had a lot of experiences, but to then have time apart and learn new skills, get new musical ideas and experiences and compare them… it’s been a healthy break.”
The xx’s third and latest studio album, ‘I See You’, was released in 2017. Watch NME‘s video interview with Romy above.
