Jamie xx performs in 2024.

Jamie xx has confirmed that he will be curating his own day at the new LIDO Festival in London. Find details on the line-up below.

The xx star, musician and producer will be the inaugural headliner for the new festival in the UK capital for its upcoming first instalment.

Taking place across June next year, the new event will run across two weekends, and feature “carefully curated music line-ups alongside community-driven activities during the week, all with a strong emphasis on sustainability.”

Held at Victoria Park’s historic Lido Field, Jamie xx will be curating a line-up for Saturday June 7.

Announced today, he has already dropped the first names for his line-up, including an appearance by his xx bandmate Romy, as well as Panda Bear, John Glacier, Arca, Sampha, DJ Gigola, Shy One, Wookie, and livwutang.

To top it off, he’ll be bringing his celebrated club residency ‘The Floor’ to Victoria Park too, holding a one-off festival showcase that includes a three-hour set from DJ Harvey.

Tickets for the event go on sale this Friday (November 1) and you can visit here to buy tickets. Find the full line-up on the poster below.

“It’s always an exciting prospect playing in my hometown. Having done ‘The Floor’ and Alexandra Palace this year, it’s time for something else,” Jamie xx said of the announcement. “I’m really looking forward to headlining Victoria Park, curating my own day festival and performing alongside my favourite artists.”

News of the new festival was shared last week, and it was confirmed that it will be run by AEG Presents, who also organise All Points East, BST Hyde Park and Forwards.

It also said it is looking to “showcase the most current headliners and work closely with them to curate the line-ups, reflecting their own musical passions, with a strong focus on emerging artists.”

Shortly afterwards, it was rumoured that Jamie xx could be the first name announced, as he began teasing that he would be creating his own music festival in London, taking place next summer.

More headliners for the upcoming LIDO Festival 2025 are set to be announced soon.

In other news, Jamie xx is currently on his ‘In Waves’ world tour. The run of live dates are in support of his album ‘In Waves’ which marked his first solo full-length since 2015’s ‘In Colour’.

In a four-star review of ‘In Waves’, NME called the LP “an even more melancholic record than its predecessor – and a less immediately exciting one, too. But it’s arguably a more complex beast, born of a complex era yet authored by a musician with one eye on the simple, timeless pleasures of the club. With ‘In Waves’, almost a decade on from the triumph of ‘In Colour’, Jamie xx remains in bloom.”
