Jasiel Nuñez’s ‘La Odisea’ & More: Which Is Your Favorite New Latin Music Release of the Week?
This week, Billboard’s New Music Latin roundup and playlist — curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new music from artists including Jasiel Nuñez, Marc Seguí, Danny Ocean and Elena Rose, to name a few.
Emerging Mexican singer-songwriter Jasiel Nuñez released his new album, titled La Odisea, offering two parts to his set: corridos and sad corridos. For the LP, the Jalisco, Mexico native recruits his pal, Peso Pluma, who signed Nuñez to his Double P Records imprint, and Luis R Conriquez, Eslabon Armado, Ramón Vega and DannyLux, among other guest collaborators.
Meanwhile, Kapo and Danny Ocean team up for “Imagínate,” a single that fuses reggaetón pop and Afrobeats, loaded with romanticism and tropical rhythms. Plus, Marc Seguí delivers “Un Domingo Triste Vol. 1,” a melancholic ballad that previews his upcoming album NO TENGO TRISA, set to drop next year.
Venezuelan singer-songwriter Elena Rose released her long-awaited debut EP, En Las Nubes – Con Mis Panas. About the 8-track set — which features collabs with Greeicy and Álvaro Díaz — she wrote on Instagram: “It’s a project that carries a thousand pieces of me and the people who walk with me. Thank you God for allowing me to do what I love and putting angels along the way who share the same purpose. Eternal thanks for being part of this and for believing in me, you are my family, my strength and my light.”
