Joy Orbison goes viral for dropping baile funk remix of Radiohead’s ‘Creep’
Joy Orbison has gone viral for dropping a baile funk remix of Radiohead‘s ‘Creep’ at his recent DJ set in New York.
This past weekend (November 2), the London producer – real name Peter O’Grady – took over Brooklyn Steel and treated fans to a surprise remix of Thom Yorke and co’s 1992 hit. The rendition of the song saw the track be transformed from a dark, eerie rock song into a funky, hip-hop-infused track with Yorke’s vocals serving as a haunting whisper behind the pounding beat.
“Losing my shit at Joy Orbison dropping a baile funk remix of Creep,” wrote one fan who shared a video clip of the moment onto their X/Twitter account. “Hey thats my track,” responded producer DJ Lukinhas, who created the remix that Orbison spun and shared a link to the track via Soundcloud.

The remix has left fans of the London producer with mixed reviews of the track. Some praised the song, with one user tweeting: “Joy Orbison can do no wrong,” while another added: “This is so fucking good.”
Though there was praise for the track, some fans were underwhelmed. One user wrote: “I don’t like it but I appreciate this is such a Joy Orbison thing to do,” while another shared: “This sounds like shit how does anyone enjoy it.”
Orbison is set to play two nights at London’s EarTH on Saturday (November 23) and Saturday (November 30) you can visit here to purchase tickets.
In other news, Yorke recently claimed that he “really doesn’t give a fuck” if fans want to see a Radiohead return. When asked about his thoughts on Radiohead fans’ speculation over the band’s future during a recent interview, Yorke replied: “I am not aware of it and don’t really give a flying fuck.”
“No offence to anyone and err, thanks for caring,” he continued. “But I think we’ve earned the right to do what makes sense to us without having to explain ourselves or be answerable to anyone else’s historical idea of what we should be doing.”
The band’s bassist Colin Greenwood recently caught up with NME ahead of the release of his new photo book How To Disappear, and gave some insight into the band’s reunion rehearsals over the summer.
Before then, his brother, Jonny, shared with NME that he found the rehearsals “fun and natural”, but went on to add that there are “no plans” for anything Radiohead-related in 2025, as the members are focused on “individual projects”.
