“Shout out to Eminem. He just took ‘Ha,'” Juvenile said after being asked how he felt about artists sampling his records. “We can’t do nothing with these songs sitting down, right? We can’t make no money with these songs just sitting down. So, I applaud the artists — especially the artists that are real good at it that got talent. Hey, man, go take a sample. I am not trippin’. I’m not one of those cats and I love the new artists, I’m not hatin’ on none of them.”

Drewski then asked Mannie if he still had to give his permission for acts to use songs he’s produced. “Yeah, those records still gotta be cleared through me because they was my records and I think it’s the biggest homage anybody can pay to you when it’s a credible artist,” he answered. “When somebody like Eminem uses your song or when Jay jumped on ‘Ha,’ that’s like, ‘Wow.’ It’s incredible because if you’re sitting down in a barber shop and we talking, you can stick your chest out and be like, ‘But did Eminem ever rap on any of your beats? Did Jay ever rap on any of your beats?'”

Juvenile also discussed his relationship with Eminem and how he found out the song was being used by him: “Em is my dude because when my career started, Em was one of them guys that kinda like reached out. He showed us love in the beginning, so he’s my guy,” he revealed. “But I didn’t expect that. We knew it was coming out but I didn’t hear it.”

The subject of a Hot Boys reunion was also broached and Big Juvie remains optimistic. “We’ve had conversations about it. Will it really happen? I’m hopeful,” he said. “We just all gotta be on the same page and we can’t be on the Internet going at each other’s throats. That’s gotta stop.”
