K-pop girl group STAYC recently wore the jerseys of the wrong Rangers team to their recent Dallas, Texas concert.

STAYC are currently on the US leg of their 2023-2024 ‘Teenfresh’ world tour and played a show in Dallas, Texas on October 19. Notably, the city is home to professional baseball team, the Texas Rangers, which the girl group had intended to pay homage to with their outfits.

However, due to an unintended mix-up, two members of STAYC – Sumin and ISA – ended up wearing cropped version of jerseys by the Scottish football club, the Glasgow Rangers.

“We had a bit of a mix-up as we were purchasing the uniforms,” STAYC’s agency, High Up Entertainment, told Korea JoongAng Daily on Wednesday (October 25). “We will be more cautious in the future.”

However, fans of the Glasgow Rangers have since taken the girl group’s mistake in stride, with one saying on Twitter that “Rangers are the kings of K-pop”, per The Guardian.

According to The New York Times, STAYC had paid homage to sports teams in their previous US concerts, wearing Mets and Yankees merch in New York, as well as Bears and Bulls clothing in Chicago.

STAYC will perform in London this November as part of ‘Korea On Stage in London’, alongside K-pop groups such as ATEEZ, BOYNEXTDOOR and more. Check out more details for the upcoming concert here.

Earlier this year, STAYC released their third mini-album ‘Teenfresh’, fronted by the lead single ‘Bubble’. The project is their second comeback of 2023, following their February single album ‘Teddy Bear’.
