Kamala Harris Is Brat & 9 More of Her Best Musical Moments

As Vice President Kamala Harris embarks on her surprise second presidential bid, the music world has been lining up to support the nation’s second-in-command as she works to secure enough delegates to officially take on former President Donald Trump. Unlike her MAGA rival, Harris has almost instantly gotten the ringing endorsement of some of the biggest pop, hip-hop and R&B stars in the world as she seeks to block the twice-impeached Republican candidate in his third White House run.

From star artists Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, John Legend, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX and Lil Nas X to Hollywood A-listers Robert De Niro, George Clooney, Spike Lee and Barbra Streisand, the music and entertainment worlds appear to be lining up to help Harris become the first Black female president.

The fledgling campaign already has an official song thanks to Beyoncé reportedly giving Harris the go-ahead to use her Lemonade anthem “Freedom” as the soundtrack to Harris’ hurry-up White House bid, while Charli boldly proclaimed that “Kamala IS brat,” welcoming Harris to officially join “brat summer.”

After many voters appeared to reject President Biden’s bid for a second term out of concern of his advanced age — Biden is 81 — Harris, 59, steps in as a relative youngster compared to 78-year-old Trump, now officially the oldest person to ever run for president. And, unlike Trump’s stilted dancing and somewhat dated playlist, Harris has also proven to have a youthful vibe when it comes to her taste in music and her love of getting into the groove, whether at the 2023 50th anniversary of hip-hop celebration or the many viral videos of her joyously busting dance moves.

Check out our list of 10 of Harris’ most iconic music moments below.
