Kanye West has parted ways with longtime chief of staff Milo Yiannopoulos due to their opposing views Yeezy Porn.

Last month, reports said the controversial rapper – who now goes by the name Ye – wanted to enter the adult entertainment industry and launch the “Yeezy Porn Studio” later this summer. Kanye was reportedly in talks with porn producer Mike Moz, who is the ex-husband of adult film star Stormy Daniels, to help him get the brand up and running.

The announcement was met with an overwhelmingly negative reaction, with many fans telling him to “return to Christ,” and similar religious exhortations. it was later thought that Ye had scrapped the idea after outlets such as Kurrco have also shared claims that “Kanye has reportedly abandoned the idea of launching ‘YZY P*RN'”.

Now, TMZ shared a statement from Yiannopoulos that says he “cannot be complicit in the production or dissemination of pornographic films and literature, for moral and religious reasons”.

He continued: “Also because such material and the kind of people invariably involved in its production represent an imminent danger to my life as a recovering addict and an unacceptable risk to my spiritual and physical health as a former homosexual.

“I tender my resignation,” he added. “I will deliver an orderly handover by Friday May 31, 2024, or the first pornography shoot, whichever is sooner. If, at some time in the future, the company publicly and permanently abandons any plan to produce, distribute, or profit from obscene content, it would be an honor to serve you again.”

His resignation was part of a “mass exodus at the company,” according to TMZ.

The alt-right voice Yiannopoulos was first enlisted by West for his short-lived 2024 Presidential campaign several years ago, before he was then reported to have soon quit while vowing to “continue to pray for Ye in all his endeavours”.

The official launch date for Yeezy Porn has yet to be announced.

In other news, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign released their long-awaited debut collaborative album  ‘Vultures 1’ back in February. The LP was given a two-star review by NME, and criticised for its “degrading lyrics and messy mixes”. Shortly after its release, Ye said that its follow-up ‘Vultures 2’ was delayed and hinted that he would not be releasing the two remaining LPs from the trilogy on streaming platforms. It was meant to be released earlier this month but never materialised.

On ‘Vultures 1’, the duo interpolated Donna Summer’s 1977 hit ‘I Feel Love’ on ‘Good (Don’t Die)’. The disco icon’s estate eventually sued Ye and Dolla $ign for “shamelessly” including re-recorded parts of the hit that were “instantly recognisable” after being refused permission numerous times. Last week, Summer’s estate settled the lawsuit against the artist.
