Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign release ‘Vultures 2’ deluxe with new track ‘Take Off Your Dress’
Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have released a digital deluxe edition of their ‘Vultures 2’ album, featuring a new track.
West, now known as Ye, and Ty, real name Tyrone Griffin Jr., released their first collaborative album, ‘Vultures 1’, under the name ¥$ on February 10, before ‘Vultures 2’ arrived last Saturday (August 4) – months after its original release date in March.
The deluxe edition came last night (August 6) on Yeezy’s website, complete with updated songs and a bonus track, ‘Take Off Your Clothes’. The track features a sample of Talmadge Armstrong’s ‘Please Make It Good Again’, and some fans have speculated that clearance issues may be the reason for the track not hitting streaming services just yet.
But they seem to have been able to work around this by including it as a bonus on the deluxe album. And the Yeezy chief of staff, Eric J. Cui, has reportedly said that the song will eventually appear on streaming platforms. Cui confirmed to Billboard, too, that the album will feature “real time song updates”, with tracks being remastered and new mixes already replacing originals on streaming sites.
According to Cui, more tracks will be on the way, but they’ll be packaged into separate deluxe albums.
If you want to buy the deluxe, you can head to the Yeezy website and pay $5.
It’s rumoured that Ye and Ty will be hosting a listening experience on Friday (August 9) in Salt Lake City, Utah, before they head to Asia later on this month.
Meanwhile, ‘Vultures 2’ has already courted controversy with Geoff Barrow of Portishead claiming that the rappers sampled the band on a track without permission. He posted a clip of the song ‘Field Trip’ on X (formerly Twitter) – which reportedly samples Portishead’s ‘Machine Gun’ – with the caption: “FFS. Not again,” while he asked on Instagram, “Why can’t he write his own beats?”

NME reviewed ‘Vultures 1’ in March. In a two-star review, we said: “‘Vultures 1’ might not be the total dud that could put Kanye’s career six feet under, but it is far from one of his best efforts either. It’s more cohesive than ‘Donda’ – although that’s not hard, given it’s about half its length – and includes some well-curated guest spots from Travis Scott, Playboi Carti and India Love. Ty Dolla $ign sounds spectacular on the record, too, even if it does make you question why he’d choose to be overshadowed by his collaborator and the baggage that comes with him. For now, though, it’s onwards to March’s ‘Vultures 2’ and, hopefully, several changes in attitude. Don’t hold your breath.”
