Katy Perry teases mysterious new era with profile picture change
Katy Perry has begun teasing a mysterious new era by changing her profile picture.
Recently, the popstar has been hinting at her return to music by teasing “one of [her] biggest songs that has yet to come out” whilst speaking at an American Idol event.
Now, it appears new music may be imminent thanks to Perry’s profile picture change. She has replaced an older photo of her face with her initials ‘KP’ in a futuristic, shiny logo, in front of a bright red background.
Her X/Twitter background is also in the same bright red colour, adorned with bubbles at the bottom. Check out the changes below:

Last December, it was reported that the pop star was gearing up to release her “most personal” material yet in 2024. It was said at the time that plans for a world tour were also underway.
Perry had previously hinted at her next album while on stage during her Las Vegas residency last summer. “If you can’t love me at my ‘Witness’ or ‘Smile’ era, then you can’t love me in my KP6 era,” she told the audience.
‘Smile‘ is Perry’s last studio album, serving as her sixth record. NME reviewed the album at the time, giving it two stars and writing: “It’s frustrating, as this is the woman behind some of the most fun – and biggest-selling – songs of all time. But as much as you want ‘Smile’ to be a return to form, her fifth album’s songs fail to grip. All in all, ‘Smile’ lacks the fireworks of Perry’s record-breaking years.”
In other news, Katy Perry has debunked a viral AI photo from the Met Gala after her mom fell for the prank.
