Kehlani announces new album, ‘Crash’

R&B singer-songwriter Kehlani has announced a new album, ‘Crash’.

Yesterday (May 16), Kehlani took to social media to reveal the cover art, title and release date for their fourth album. ‘Crash’ is due for release on June 21 via Atlantic Records.

The cover art sees Kehlani sitting on top of a wrecked car, with glass shattered all around them. A track list for the album has yet to be released, but it is expected that the singer’s latest single, April’s ‘After Hours’, will appear on the record.

The reveal of ‘Crash’ comes after Kehlani shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) that compiled fans’ speculation with comments related to crashes.

Last week, the singer teased their next single on social media, sharing a snippet of ‘Next 2 U’ on X. They called they song their “favourite” and asked fans when they would want the song to be released.

Kehlani’s previous album ‘Blue Water Road’ scored a four-star review from Rhian Daly, who wrote for NME: “Towards ‘Blue Water Road’’s conclusion, things start to drift a little, ‘Everything’ feeling longer than its three-minute-27-second runtime and the Thundercat and Ambre-starring ‘Wondering/Wandering’ not quite landing as memorably as you’d hope. For the most part, though, this album finds Kehlani in spectacular form – softer, stronger and better than ever.”
