Kendrick Lamar to Perform at ‘The Pop Out: Ken & Friends’ Show in Los Angeles
Kendrick Lamar feels like celebrating.
After besting Drake in a rap battle for the ages, he’s putting on a concert for Los Angeles with the help of pgLang and Free Lunch. Lamar just announced The Pop Out: Ken and Friends slated for Juneteenth (Wednesday, July 19) at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif., marking his first live show since he and the Toronto rapper went toe-to-toe.
Doors open at 3 p.m. and the show starts at 4 p.m., with general tickets going on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. PT. However, Cash App Card holders get a chance to snag tickets a day earlier on Thursday. If you have a Cash App Card, you can gain access by using the first nine digits of your card on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time. You can check the Ticketmaster site for more info.
It’s worth noting: Frequent collaborator Terrace Martin was on Instagram Live recently and mentioned being excited for Kendrick’s new album. So those in attendance may get the chance to hear some new material. There’s no word on the setlist yet, but we’re willing to bet the house that the Forum roof will start shaking when he’s performing “Not Like Us” for that raucous L.A. crowd. Kendrick hasn’t released an album in two years, since dropping his fifth studio album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers in 2022.
This upcoming show has the chance to be very special for those in attendance.
