Kevin Kaarl’s ‘Esta Noche’ & More: Which Is Your Favorite New Latin Music Release of the Week?
This week, Billboard’s New Music Latin roundup and playlist — curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new music from artists including Kevin Kaarl, Gilberto Santa Rosa and Maluma, to name a few.
Spanish star Quevedo is back in the spotlight with Buenas Noches. The 18-track LP includes collaborators like Sech, Aitana, Pitbull and Rels B, among others. “This album reflects everything I experience in the quiet hours after midnight, when I say goodnight to the world,” Quevedo said in a statement.
He continued: “It’s an album that explains my new way of life and everything around me. This title isn’t about sleep or the hours of rest but, instead, everything that happens when I say goodnight to everyone else — the 3 a.m. thoughts and conversations, the reflective moments, late-night studio sessions, parties, and all that unfolds once the night truly begins. I’m so happy to finally share this with my fans, and I hope they enjoy listening to it as much as I loved creating it.”
Meanwhile, Mexican singer-songwriter Kevin Kaarl dropped the first single off his forthcoming album. Produced by his twin brother, Bryan Kaarl, “Esta Noche” is soft and delicate, a contrast to Kevin’s incredibly deep vocals.
Other new releases from this week include Nicki Nicole’s new trap album, NAIKI. And Ricardo Arjona delivered three new singles from his LP Seco: “Despacio Que Hay Prisa,” “Todo Termina” and “Nirvana.” These songs mark the beginning of a project that Arjona describes as “a deeply personal and honest exploration, blending styles that transcend conventional boundaries,” according to a press release.
