Kid Rock leaves stage at Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan’s event after fans won’t clap
Kid Rock stormed off stage at Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan’s birthday event after fans didn’t clap to the beat.
The country singer made a surprise guest appearance at Jon Bon Jovi’s Tennessee restaurant, JBJ Nashville, on Saturday (February 8) as part of Bryan’s birthday celebration.
In videos of his on-stage meltdown, he is seen on stage performing a rendition of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s ‘Proud Mary’, but then curses the crowd when they don’t clap on time and cuts the music.
“F*** them,” he says to the crowd. “If you ain’t gonna clap, we ain’t gonna sing. That’s how it’s gonna work.”
He instructs the audience to clap to the track’s beat before continuing. Eventually, as the clapping subsides, Rock angrily shouts out: “You know what, f*** y’all. You ain’t gonna clap, I’m gone.” He then leaves the stage.

In other Kid Rock-related news, the musician said that Donald Trump personally phoned him ahead of a victory rally in January to inquire whether the Secret Service had banned him from having strippers in his inaugeration performance.
Kid Rock was one of the performers billed for the inauguration event in Washington D.C, and prior to his set he made a joke about being banned from using strippers on stage by the Secret Service. Turns out the President-elect caught word.

Speaking on Fox & Friends, the singer said: “ I got a call from the President and Melania and it was kind of mind-blowing, I’ve tried to leave him alone, he’s got a lot on his plate, I would think, right now.”
He continued: “He called and he goes, ‘Did the Secret Service really tell you that you can’t use strippers?‘” To which he told the station he responded: “No, sir, I was just joking around.”
“Ah, that’s funny,” Trump replied, according to Kid Rock.
Kid Rock is a long-time supporter of Trump’s political career, dating back to his initial election victory in 2016.
