Kobalt Names Bob Bruderman Chief Digital Officer
Kobalt has elevated Bob Bruderman to the role of Chief Digital Officer, the company announced today (July 24). In the new role, he will continue to lead overall global digital strategy for Kobalt, including commercial partnerships with companies such as Amazon, Apple, Meta, Pandora, Snap, Soundcloud, Spotify, TikTok and YouTube, among others. He will also be tasked with driving new monetization opportunities for the tech-savvy independent music publisher.
Bruderman joined Kobalt in 2013 and worked his way up at the firm. For many years he oversaw digital business development and licensing for AWAL, Kobalt’s artist services and recorded music distribution company which was sold to Sony in 2021. Most recently, he served as executive vp, global digital business for Kobalt. In addition to his role at Kobalt, Bruderman also serves on the board of directors for ASCAP, The MLC and Digital Data Exchange (DDEX).
The New York-based Bruderman will continue to report to Kobalt CEO Laurent Hubert.
