Lady Gaga confirms she’s still in the studio: “I can’t wait for you to hear what I’m working on”
Lady Gaga has confirmed she’s still in the studio working on new music.
In an Instagram post yesterday (July 18), Lady Gaga shared a selfie taken in a studio vocal booth. “Just me in the studio—happy as ever making music ,” she wrote. “Feel so grateful, heart is peaceful. It’s like meditation. I can’t wait for you to hear what I’m working on”.
“Feed us mother!!!!” Kesha wrote in the comments, to which Gaga responded by quoting the former’s new single: “Just looking for a joyride ”.
This post is the latest in a string of updates since February, where she began posting pictures of herself in the songwriting process. One picture had her with a guitar, to which she had to caution her fans: “No I’m not making a rock album”.
In May, Gaga shared about the impetus of her forthcoming seventh album: “Something I’m definitely exploring right now is sort of the art of intensity,” she offered. “I think that the art of intensity actually began during this [‘Chromatica’] tour. But I’m not done with it yet.”
While a title and release date for the album has yet to be confirmed, Gaga will be seen next in October’s Joker: Folie à Deux – she’ll play Harley Quinn to Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker in the much-anticipated “jukebox musical” sequel to the 2019 hit film.
Meanwhile, Gaga fans were left furious after the Emmy nominations were released on Wednesday (July 17) without any nod to her recent concert film Gaga Chromatica Ball.
On social media, fans have been vocal about the film missing out, with one fan calling it “criminal’ while a second said she’d been “snubbed again”. Another said of the Emmys, “it’s their loss”.
