Lana Del Rey gushes over TikTok musician Alex Warren’s viral song ‘Ordinary’ at Stagecoach

Lana Del Rey has expressed her admiration over Alex Warren’s viral song ‘Ordinary’ – see what she had to say below.

This past weekend, both Lana Del Rey and TikTok personality-turned-musician Alex Warren made cameo appearances during Jelly Roll‘s headline set on Saturday (April 26). Del Rey joined Jelly Roll to duet ‘Save Me’, while Warren was brought out to perform his own song ‘Ordinary’.

After the performances, Jelly Roll introduced Lana Del Rey and Alex Warren to each other backstage, where the former took a moment to share how much enjoys ‘Ordinary’. In a video posted onto TikTok after the meeting, Warren says toward the camera: “Lana Del Rey was singing my song? To me?” The video then captures Lana saying she “loves” the song before going on to recite a few lines off ‘Ordinary’ to Warren.

“Every time I hear it, I think, ‘Why can’t we hear more like this?’ because it takes you to church,” the ‘Summertime Sadness’ singer gushes awhiles Jelly nods. Warren later sends a message to Del Rey in a video: “Your song now. Now my song, your song.”

‘Ordinary’, first released on February 7, has become a viral sensation, topping charts across the US and UK. According to an April 18 report from Official Charts, the song was crowned the longest-running Number 1 song in the UK of 2025 so far, and has spent over five consecutive weeks at the top spot.

Lana herself headlined Stagecoach on Friday night (April 25), where she debuted ‘57.5’, a new song from her upcoming album that included a line about kissing Morgan Wallen. So far, she has only released two tracks from her new country-inflected album: ‘Bluebird‘ and ‘Henry, Come On‘.

The upcoming album, which will be her 10th, was announced last year, and was at the time titled ‘The Right Person Will Stay’, and before that, ‘Lasso’. Marking the follow-up to 2023’s ‘Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd’, the record was earmarked for May 21, but Del Rey has since warned fans the upcoming album will not “come on time” – and, whenever it does, it’ll have a new title.

“I mean, you know it’s not going to come on time, right?” the Grammy nominee said in a since-deleted Instagram post. “Like, should I even tell you that the name changed again?”

‘Henry, Come On’ also marked her first solo release in two years, and follows last July’s collaboration with Quavo, ‘Tough’. The singer spoke to NME about the album last May, and suggested that the lyrics on the LP might be lighter than her more recent output.

“I’ve maybe less to say in terms of any self-revealing things like on ‘Tunnel’ or ‘Blue Bannisters’ or ‘Chemtrails Over The Country Club’, and just more melodic,” she said. “Maybe more American Songbook style?”

Del Rey had previously said the project would arrive last October, later addressing the ongoing wait for the project by saying she was following her instincts after feeling a “literal energetic pause”.

Elsewhere, the ‘Cherry’ artist is set to embark on a UK and Ireland stadium tour this summer. Following the announcement of huge gigs in Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, Dublin and London and their subsequent sell-outs, huge demand led to a second show in the UK capital being announced.
