LE SSERAFIM team up with JADE on new version of ‘Hot’
LE SSERAFIM have joined forces with Little Mix singer JADE on a new version of their latest single, ‘Hot’.
LE SSERAFIM released the new version of ‘Hot’, over the weekend on April 13. The song, sung in English, marks the group’s first collaboration with the British pop star, as well as JADE’s first collaboration with a K-pop act.
On this rework of ‘Hot’, JADE sings a new version of the pre-chorus with rewritten lyrics, as well as the song’s chorus: “Now I’m strong, you did mе wrong, kept stringing me along / I should’ve seen the signs, wasted all my time, yeah / Now I’m on top, and you’re not, baby, that’s your loss / Don’t love me for somebody I’m not.”
It’s the fourth remix the song has received since it was first released last month as the lead single of LE SSERAFIM’s latest mini-album, also titled ‘Hot’. In a glowing four-star review of the EP, NME‘s Gladys Yeo said that the project makes it “clear that LE SSERAFIM are an unstoppable, ever-evolving force”.
Speaking to NME about ‘Hot’, the girl group said that they wanted to “portray wholeheartedly [about] accepting the things that we love” through the record. “Hopefully, through this trilogy, we show that LE SSERAFIM have become very resilient and solid,” member Kim Chaewon said.
In support of the release, LE SSERAFIM are slated to embark on the ‘Easy Crazy Hot’ world tour this year. The trek will kick off later this month with a two-night concert in Incheon, South Korea, before they play a total of 14 stops across Asian cities such as Saitama, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok and more.
