Lenny Kravitz Brings Back Giant Viral Scarf in First TikTok Post: ‘It’s the First Day of Fall’
Lenny Kravitz has officially joined TikTok.
On Saturday (Sept. 23), the legendary singer-songwriter and actor made his debut on the social media platform by bringing back his viral giant scarf to usher in the autumn season.
“Grab your big scarf, it’s the first day of fall,” Kravitz says in the five-second TikTok clip while donning the oversized brown neckwear, which has become the inspiration for countless memes.
In 2012, the “Fly Away” singer was photographed by paparazzi wearing the mega-sized accessory while running errands in New York City. The snapshots have since been used in countless hilarious memes more than a decade later.
Kravitz joked about his viral meme status while visiting The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2018. “I cannot escape this,” the always fashionable singer said. “I live in the Bahamas. I’m used to hot weather and I had to go to the grocery store. I was buying some groceries and I thought I’d put on a little scarf to protect my throat and that’s the scarf I had.”
Fallon then showed a picture of Kravitz wearing the controversial scarf and said, “But Lenny, this is not a scarf, this is a blanket.” The singer noted, “That was the day I thought I would break it out, and I had no idea that there would be paparazzi and that is now everything.”
Earlier this summer, Kravitz shared a series of snaps on Instagram in which seen strutting down a city street wearing a pair of brown bell bottom pants, white boots and an open button-down shirt with his abs on full display. “6:56pm,” the rocker captioned the steamy photos.
