‘Life Is Strange’ creators share ’90s-inspired soundtrack from new game ‘Lost Records’

'Lost Records: Bloom & Rage' is the new game from 'Life Is Strange' creators.

The creators of Life Is Strange have shared the ‘90s-inspired soundtrack to the new game Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape One.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is a narrative role-playing game from Don’t Nod.

“Rewind back to the ’90s and live the defining summer of four high school girls as they forge bonds through their growing friendship, their punk band and an unexplained event that will forever change their lives,” reads the official description, with the gameplay taking place in 1995 and 2022.

The first half of the game launched yesterday (February 18) while Tape Two will be released in April.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage already seems to be a hit with fans though. The game currently has a Very Positive review score on Steam and players are comparing it to Stranger Things, Yellowjackets and the works of Stephen King.

The soundtrack is also getting a lot of love. Featuring 10-tracks written and performed by Milk & Bone, Nora Kelly Band and former Chromatics bandmates Ruth Radelet, Nat Walker and Adam Miller, the Tape One soundtrack is available to stream now.

The second half of the soundtrack will drop alongside Tape Two, and a full Lost Records: Bloom & Rage vinyl release is planned for later this year.

“This album accompanies the adventure of four teenage girls between 1995 and 2022, in the seemingly sleepy little town of Velvet Cove, Michigan,” reads the description. “With their growing friendship embodied by their punk band, music plays a key role in both the story and gameplay,” with the full 18-track album taking influence from dream pop, punk and ambient music.

“The soundtrack in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is excellent. They always seem to nail it,” wrote one fan. “Lost Records with an absolutely BANGIN’ soundtrack! Going to be humming ‘Dreamers’ and ‘Wild Unknown’ for WEEKS,” said another.

In other news, Epic Games has forced one Fortnite cheater to post a public apology video and pay back their tournament winnings after they took legal action against the fraudster.
