The song appeared on Del Rey’s 2014 album ‘Ultraviolence’, and pokes fun at the hipster subculture so prevalent in the early 2010s – particularly in Brooklyn. Clairo’s version is a little slower than the original – and more stripped back than her recent album, ‘Charm’, but it’s the perfect vehicle for the singer to show off her voice.
Meanwhile, Clairo – real name Claire Cottrill – announced a UK and European tour earlier this week, to begin in 2025. On Monday (August 5), she revealed that she’ll be playing 10 shows across the continent, beginning at Olympia in Dublin, Ireland, on March 3 and 4.
She’ll then take on shows in Paris, France, and Utrecht, the Netherlands, before heading to the UK for shows in London, Glasgow and Manchester. Support comes from New York singer-songwriter June McDoom, and tickets go on sale on Friday (August 9) at 10am local time. Pre-sale options are available from today (August 7). Find tickets here.
Clairo’s UK and European ‘Charm’ tour dates are:
MARCH 2025

10 – Utrecht, TivoliVredenburg – Ronda
11 – Utrecht, TivoliVredenburg – Ronda

First, however, Clairo has a large North American tour, which will begin in Dallas, Texas on September 27 before finishing on November 7 in Atlanta, Georgia. You can find tickets here.
Both tours are in support of ‘Charm’, which came out on July 12. In a four-star review, NME said: “While desire might be the main focus of ‘Charm’, it’s also an ode to connection and the comfort that comes with that – whether it’s fleeting or long-lasting, with a romantic partner or just other loved ones in your life.”
They added: “In the end, that’s what the desire of ‘Charm’ boils down to – the yearning to see and be seen, to be with people who not only want you back but understand you and make life that little bit easier to make it through.”
Clairo has also just shared her first new music video for six years, sharing the video for ‘Juna’ on August 4. Meanwhile, Del Rey is preparing to release her first country album, ‘Lasso’, in September, and last month released a country-trap song, ‘Tough’, with rapper Quavo.
