The track, which is a reference to Giggs’ own birthday, explores his life which a press statement says is “less about the [birthday] celebration – more about the scars, the survival, and the soul-searching.”
On the contemplative diary-entry like new track, Giggs raps over sparse piano-led production by Levi & Side Real and Desro: “Been in it from the trenches…I have got my little ones I need to encourage…feel like I’m scared to trust, it’s like I don’t care no more because I care too much.”
A statement adds of the Landlord’s song: “No gloss, no gimmicks – just grown-man truths, laid bare in that unmistakable baritone. It’s a slow burn of a track, where reflection hits heavier than the beat…this is Giggs holding a mirror up to himself and daring us to look too.”

Last October, Giggs teamed up with Quavo on the new track ‘Big In Da Game’ which marks the debut single on KidSuper Records.
Colm Dillane, the founder and designer of the KidSuper fashion label has now branched out into music, creating KidSuper records – the company’s own record label. ‘Big In Da Game’ is the first single to be released under the music label and sees the Atlanta rapper and the Britsh rapper collab on an amped-up track.
The song had its debut at the KidSuper Autumn/winter 2024 ‘STRING THEORY’ show during Paris Fashion Week. Directed and produced by KidSuper Studios, the song’s accompanying music video features Dillane, Quavo and Giggs in a Peaky Blinders and Snatch-inspired cinematic clip.
Speaking about the track in a press release, Giggs said at the time: “Really excited to share with the world this cool collaboration, blending different worlds. Fashion. Hip Hop. UK rappers. U.S. rappers.”
Giggs also made a surprise appearance at Nicki Minaj‘s show in London last year (May 28). Minaj played at The O2 in the capital as part of the UK and European leg of her ‘Pink Friday 2’ world tour, in support of her 2023 album of the same name.
Minaj invited South London rapper Giggs to the stage to perform solo renditions of his songs ‘Whippin Excursion’ and ‘Talkin The Hardest’.
Back in 2020, Giggs surprised released a mixtape, ‘Now Or Never’. In a review of this, NME said: “The record…draw[s] from several genres as the rapper deftly fuses them into a cohesive potpourri of an album….The best tracks on ‘Now Or Never’ feature heavyweight appearances…the standout featured artist, though, is Dave, who further cementing his status as one of the UK’s brightest talents on the sobering ‘Straight Murder’.”
