Madonna Reels In Ricky Martin During Miami Stop of Her Celebration Tour: Watch
As she continues the North American leg of her Celebration Tour, Madonna is currently holding court in Miami for her three-day takeover (April 6, 7, and 9) at the Kaseya Center. During Sunday night’s show (April 7), the Queen of Pop surprised her fans with a special guest and good friend, Ricky Martin.
The two artists— who collaborated on Ricky’s “Be Careful (Cuidado Con Mi Corazón)”— did not sing together but rather judged a handful of dancers that performed for them during the concert’s “Vogue” ballroom competition.
The interactive performance saw Madonna and her special guest sitting on chairs as they held a sign with a number 10, and another sign that read “CHOPS” while the dancers — including Madonna’s talented 11-year-old daughter Estere — gave it their all on stage. During her previous Los Angeles pitstop, Madonna invited Cardi B as her special judge.
“Thank you, Madonna, my love! Always fun to be invited to the party! You all, CAN’T MISS THIS SHOW!” the Puerto Rican singer expressed later that night on Instagram.
In addition to the friendly “Vogue” competition and Madonna performing the biggest hits of her legendary career, the Celebration Tour also finds the 65-year-old artist’s sons performing live with the band.
The Celebration Tour—which was postponed by a medical emergency—kicked off last fall in Europe at London’s O2 Arena, where the singer visited fans in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and more. According to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore, the European leg grossed $77.5 million and sold 429,000 tickets.
