A man has been charged with the attempted murder of a teenager at this year’s edition of TRNSMT Festival.
According to various news outlets including BBC, police were called to the Glasgow Green festival site on Saturday, July 13, after a 16-year-old was left with serious injuries.
He was taken to a nearby hospital after the attack and police in the area issued a public appeal.
An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged with the attempted murder of the teenager, and is now due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court later today (August 15). A report will also be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“We would like to thank members of the public and partners who assisted with our investigation,” Detective Inspector Willie Downie said in a new statement.
The 18-year-old is one of 40 people who were arrested at the 2024 edition of the Glasgow music festival, which took place between July 12 and 14.
