Massive Attack announce first North American shows in five years
Massive Attack have announced a handful of 2024 North American shows which are set to take place later this autumn.
The iconic trip-hop group will make stops in select cities across the US in October. They will play headlining gigs in Atlanta, Washington D.C., Boston and New York City. The newly announced shows will coincide with their upcoming performance at iii Points Festival in Miami.
The shows will also mark their first time headlining in North America since the Mezzanine XXI tour in 2019. DJ Milo – Massive Attack’s old Bristol Wild Bunch crew mate – will serve as opening support on all dates. General ticket sales will commence on Friday (July 19) at 10am local time. Check out a full list of tour dates below and visit here to purchase tickets.
Massive Attack 2024 North American tour dates are:
OCTOBER:
17 – Atlanta, GA, Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre
22 – Washington, DC, The Anthem
23 – Boston, MA, Roadrunner
24 – Queens, NY, Forest Hills Stadium
Elsewhere, Massive Attack have recently shared details of their ‘Act 1.5’ show at Bristol Downs and its measures to reduce emissions.
Details of the homecoming gig were first shared in December, when the trip-hop collective confirmed that 2024 would see them perform at an all-day “large-scale climate action accelerator event” – celebrating 25 years of climate activism for the band.
The gig will take place on August 25 at Clifton Downs in Bristol, and will mark the first performance that Robert ‘3D’ Del Naja and Grant ‘Daddy G’ Marshall have played on UK soil in five years. The likes of Killer Mike, Lankum, Sam Morton and the Wild Bunch’s DJ Milo are also set to perform at the gig. Visit here to find any remaining tickets.
In other news, the group recently cancelled their gig in Georgia in a protest of the “government’s attack on basic human rights”.
