Megan Fox has been defended by her former partner, Brian Austin Green, following her split from rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

Transformers star Fox was with the musician from June 2020, announcing their engagement in 2022. In March 2024, it was confirmed the couple were no longer engaged, and in December of that year People reported that they had split a month after announcing they were expecting a child together.

Former Beverly Hills 90210 actor Green married Fox in 2010, before the couple announced their separation in 2020. Their divorce was finalised in 2021. They have three sons from the marriage, with Fox also becoming stepmother to Green’s son from a previous relationship.

Regarding Fox’s split from Kelly, Green posted in his Instagram stories reacting to a news article about the musician seeking to change the public narrative on his split with Fox.

“Bro. Just be honest for once in your life” he wrote. “Stop caring so much about how you’re perceived that you will try and drag other people”. A screenshot of the post was captured by TMZ.

This is not the first time Green has publicly commented on Kelly’s actions. Speaking to TMZ in December amid rumours of the latest split, Green was interviewed on camera remarking: “Grow up! She’s pregnant”.

Last year, Kelly included lyrics about his and Fox’s relationship in his song ‘Don’t Let Me Go’, where he talks about the loss of a previous pregnancy as well as his mental health.

In 2023, Fox released a poetry book titled Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, which discussed themes of toxic relationships and abuse. While promoting the book, she revealed that she has been in abusive relationships with “very famous people” that “no one knows” about.
