Megan Thee Stallion and Psy to star in new K-pop reality show for Apple TV+
Apple TV+ has announced its upcoming K-pop reality series, titled KPOPPED, which will star Megan Thee Stallion and Psy.

Today (February 6), Apple TV+ announced that KPOPPED, an eight-episode song battle series, will arrive this year. Executive produced by Lionel Richie, the show is set to star South Korean musician Psy – best known for his viral 2012 hit ‘Gangnam Style’ – and American rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who has collaborated with the likes of TWICE, BTS and more.
According to the streaming service, the series will feature “Western icons reimagin[ing] one of their biggest hits, collaborating with top-tier K-pop idols to deliver spectacular battle performances, with a live Seoul-based audience picking the winner of the best new K-popped song”.
Megan Thee Stallion will also serve as an executive producer on the show and will also be featured as a performer with her song ‘Savage’. Other executive producers aside from Megan and Richie include Moira Ross, Miky Lee, Greg Foster, Harry H.K. Shin and Jake Hong, among others.
KPOPPED will be Apple TV+’s newest entry into the unscripted competition series space. The platform previously aired My Kind of Country co-created by Reese Witherspoon and Kacey Musgraves for one season in 2023, spotlighting country music. Apple TV+ was also behind a 2024 docuseries titled K-pop Idols.
In other K-pop news, BLACKPINK have announced their 2025 world tour via YG Entertainment on February 5. It comes amid promotional rollouts for members Lisa, Jisoo and Jennie’s solo efforts, due out across February and March.
