Megan Thee Stallion announces surprise new album ‘MEGAN: Act II’ – coming next week
Megan Thee Stallion has announced her surprise new album ‘MEGAN: Act II’, which is set for release next week.
Last month, the rapper hinted at a new project by sharing a teaser clip on Instagram of her morphing into a butterfly with a caption that read “Stay tuned hotties”. She shared photos on her Instagram grid that spelt out “Act Two” along with behind-the-scenes photos of her in her butterfly costume.
Today (October 18), the Houston Hottie shared a new Instagram post of what appears to be the album cover of her upcoming LP ‘MEGAN: Act II’. The caption revealed that her fourth album is set for release next Friday (October 25).
At the time of writing, no additional details of the album such as the tracklist have been revealed. The LP follows her 2024 album ‘Megan‘. In a four-star review of the album, NME shared: “All facets of Megan Thee Stallion have been on display throughout her career, from freestyles to mixtapes to studio albums. But they’ve not sounded this cohesive together till now (yes, even ‘Worthy’, with its self-empowerment mantra of a chorus and peppy pop-guitar beat). When the sizzling guitar solo rings out on ‘Cobra’, it escorts us out of the album – and heralds a fearless new era for Megan Thee Stallion.”
Previously speaking to NME as part of The Big Read, the rapper shared that she was working on “building her dynasty”. She explained that her ingenious and inclusive unofficial branding – will eventually embody a host of different ventures, saying: “A whole big ole brand, whole big ole company – it’s gonna be worldwide, okay? I really want it to be just a plethora of things.”
In other news, the ‘Body’ singer is set to open up about the Tory Lanez shooting incident in her new documentary film Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words.
