Megan Thee Stallion has launched her own tequila brand in time for her 30th birthday.

The ‘Hiss’ singer announced the new launch last week (February 15), confirming her own range of tequilas called Chicas Divertidas. It so far has two options, the Blanco bottle and the Reposado bottle.

Speaking about the inspiration for the new venture, Megan told People: “As someone who values good vibes and great memories, I knew I wanted to create a tequila that was designed to be shared and savoured with my Hotties.” The ‘Hotties’ name refers to the nickname she has for fans.

“Smooth, sultry, and premium. This process has been years in the making, and I’m so proud to take this next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and launch this brand,” she added.

According to a description, the alcoholic beverage is made from single-source, 100 per cent Blue Weber agave harvested from the volcanic highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, before being produced at the distillery Casa Centinela.

The Blanco bottle is said to include citrus notes and rosemary, while Reposado is described as having “a richly balanced profile of caramelised agave, American oak and cooking spices”. The launch, so far, seems like it’s only available to those living in the US, and comes in at $70 (£55) per bottle.

“I know the Hotties are ready, it’s time to give them a drink made by me,” Megan added. “I’m excited to share this labour of love with you all and hope you are inspired to enter your CHICAS ERA!”

The new brand shared by the rapper in celebration of her 30th doesn’t mark the first time that she has delved into the food and drinks industry.

As highlighted by People, she worked with fast-food chain Popeyes back in 2021 – sharing a limited edition ‘hottie sauce’. The following year she also worked in partnership with Goldbelly, developing Megan’s H-Town Hottie Pie. This was inspired by her Houston hometown and came in honour of her single, ‘Sweetie Pie’.

In other Megan Thee Stallion news, earlier this month the rapper was successful in the first round of her legal battle against YouTuber and Tory Lanez supporter Milagro Gramz. This came as she filed a lawsuit against Gramz – real name Milagro Elizabeth Cooper – in October, alleging that she had shared deepfake porn of her and spread lies about her case with Tory Lanez. The suit also accused Gramz of “cyberstalking, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy”.

It was also announced that she would be starring in the new Apple TV+ K-pop reality series, titled KPOPPED, alongside Psy.
