Megan Thee Stallion Celebrates Hot Girl Summer Tour Success & Blasts Arena Critics
Megan Thee Stallion continues to stack up the wins as she heads into her anticipated MEGAN album later this month.
Though busy on her tour, Meg took a minute to breath and reflect on her recent run while thanking her Hotties and GloRilla for their support in a heartfelt Instagram post on Wednesday (June 12).
“1. I appreciate and love how hard my dancers (thee hot girls) go every show! I know our bodies are aching but they never complain and still pop out and have a blast lol ! Love yall,” she wrote. “2. I love the bond that me and @glorillapimp have built in these past few weeks ! You are my sister 4L , you and cola never getting rid of me.”
Megan Thee Stallion continued: “3. @frenchie4oe HAD KIDS YALL ! My son is a DADDY 4. Hotties , yall keep me so motivated and happy you just don’t even know! I look out in the crowd and see yalls signs and I burst out laughing keep the signs coming 5. THEE FLOWERS I LOVE THE FLOWERS! Thee hotties make me feel like I have the biggest family in the world and I’m grateful.”
The 29-year-old also made some time to call out those who didn’t believe she could fill up arenas on tour at this point in her career.
“6. Ima pop my s–t for a second lol but people questioned if I was an arena artist anddd I mean teehee,” she quipped. “7. I have more people to thank and more moments to make but I LOVE EVERYONE who has been making this tour amazing so far ! Thank you.”
The Hot Girl Summer Tour continues in Meg’s home state of Texas with a show in Austin Thursday (June 13), and then she’ll take over the Toyota Center in Houston for a pair of sold-out hometown concerts this weekend.
GloRilla, who is serving as the tour’s opener, hopped into Megan Thee Stallion’s comment section to show her appreciation for their friendship. “luv you 4L Meg I’m so glad I got to do dis tour with you I wouldn’t have had it no other way,” she penned. “I can’t wait for dem to hear dat hot s–t ahhhh so excited!”
Glo and Meg’s “Wanna Be” shot up to No. 15 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 thanks to a boost from a Cardi B-assisted remix.
Megan’s eponymous album arrives on June 28. She set the tone for the “rebirth” project with serpentine-themed singles such as the Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Hiss,” “Boa” and “Cobra.”
