Mitt Romney & Wife Ann Sport Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Costumes for Halloween: ‘It’s a Love Story’

Much like the rest of the internet, Republican senator Mitt Romney and his wife Ann have been watching Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s budding romance — so much so, that the pair dressed up as the duo for Halloween on Tuesday (Oct. 31).

In a photo posted to his Instagram, Senator Romney can be seen wearing the Chiefs tight end’s jersey layered with a black long sleeve shirt, accessorized with an NFL branded football. Romney’s wife Ann, meanwhile, appeared next to him as Swift, donning a blonde wig, red lipstick, angular sunglasses and a replica of the pop star’s cheerleader outfit from her “Shake It Off” music video.

“It’s a love story, baby, just say yes!” Romney captioned the Instagram post. Romney also shared the post to his Instagram Story, with “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” serving as the background music.

Kelce and Swift costumes proved to be popular in 2023 — the Kansas City Chiefs tight end even gave tips to those looking to dress up as him for the spooky occasion. “Man … the mustache is slowly starting to disappear, but I’ll tell you what man — that ‘stache and the 87 jersey was pretty iconic there for a little bit,” he said in an Oct. 20 press conference. “I had it when I met Taylor for the first time.”

Be on the lookout for even more Taylors and Travises now that Halloween has officially arrived. According to an Oct. 9 report by WWD, “Travis Kelce costume” and “Taylor Swift costume” soared by 761 percent and 464 percent respectively in searches online, first prompted by the “Anti-Hero” singer attending the Chiefs’ game against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 24.
