Mustard calls Drake “a strange guy” following Kendrick Lamar feud
Mustard has branded Drake a “strange guy” following his infamous feud with Kendrick Lamar.
The DJ and producer created Lamar’s latest song in the beef ‘Not Like Us’, which saw Lamar declare that Drake and his crew were “not like us” due to their alleged “certified paedophile” behaviour.
Now, in an interview to the Los Angeles Times, Mustard discussed his relationship with the Canadian rapper. Speaking to the LA Times, Mustard was asked whether he would ever produce a song for Drake.
He replied: “I don’t think I want to make a song with that dude,” he told the newspaper. “He’s a strange guy.”
Mustard went on to take shots at former US President Donald Trump, saying: “I mean, they got some weird cases too. Trump is definitely f—ing weird, and he’s definitely not like us.”
André 3000 recently said the Drake-Kendrick feud made him “a little sad”, saying: “In early rap battles, you had kids in the park rapping against each other. But it’s not just people rapping now. You got people with 100 employees. You have livelihoods, empires, companies, deals — all of it can be jeopardized. If you don’t have anything to lose, sure, go for it. But if I already made it, I’m not sure it’s even worth it anymore.”
Questlove has called the feud a “wrestling match level mudslinging and takedown by any means necessary”, while Jay Electronica and Vince Staples have also waded in with their thoughts.
In other news, Drake has dropped 100 gigabytes of data, including three new songs.
