Netflix releases unsettling new teaser for K-drama ‘The Glory’, starring Song Hye-kyo
Netflix has released a brand-new teaser for The Glory, an upcoming K-drama starring Song Hye-kyo and Lee Do-hyun.
The Glory follows Moon Dong-eun (played by Song Hye-kyo), described as a broken woman after falling victim to violence as a child, which led to her being forced to drop out of school and give up on her dreams of becoming an engineer. Dong-eun dedicates her adulthood to plotting cold-blooded revenge against the perpetrators. Lee Do-hyun stars opposite Song as Joo Yeo-jung, vaguely described as a man with a hidden past.
Netflix shared the new visual for the forthcoming series earlier today (December 8), previewing the extreme lengths Dong-eun is willing to go to exact her revenge. She sets her plan in motion step by step, unraveling the string of individuals involved in Dong-eun’s mistreatment all those years ago, who she will subsequently target. The Glory is slated for a global premiere on the streaming service on December 30.
The K-drama was helmed by filmmaker Ahn Gil-ho, who previously worked on productions such as Memories of the Alhambra and Record of Youth, among others. Working alongside Ahn as a screenwriter is the acclaimed Kim Eun-sook, known for her work on hit K-dramas including Descendants of the Sun and Goblin.
In other Netflix news, a new teaser for upcoming K-drama Trolley was released yesterday (December 7). Starring Kim Hyun-joo and Park Hee-soon, Trolley follows a book repair shop owner and her politician husband as they land themselves in hot water, after dark truths about her past come to light. The mystery romance series will be made available to stream on the platform on December 19, with new episodes dropping every Monday and Tuesday thereon.
