New horror trailer from ‘Talk To Me’ directors is freaking people out

Talk To Me

Bring Her Back, the new film from the director of 2023 hit Talk To Me, has caused a stir online with its first trailer.

The A24 horror, directed by Danny and Michael Philippou, stars Sally Hawkins and Emmy winning child actor Billy Barratt. The synopsis reads: “A brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother”.

The unsettling trailer features a young girl being filmed on camera, with the worlds “Let Her Die” appearing on the screen as images of rituals and Hawkins screaming appear alongside it. The film is the first from the duo since Talk To Me, the low budget horror that became a breakout hit in 2023.

NME’s review described it as “a new-school chiller in line with the first two films by Ari Aster or Jordan Peele”. Since its success, horror fans poised to see what was next.
The film is scheduled for a May 30 release in the US, with a UK release date yet to be announced.

On X (formerly Twitter), one user wrote that the preview “gives the same atmospheric feel and I love that the trailer is giving me nothing at all. I’ll keep my eye on this to see more of the rollout. A24 don’t stop!”

One post described it as “pretty much perfect”, while another fan simply reacted with “holy fuck the Bring Her Back trailer wtffff”.

“I went to see The Monkey (ok, as expected)” one tweet said, “but was rewarded with the BRING HER BACK trailer. All is well in my Horror Universe”.

Recently, it was announced that cult studio A24 would be teaming up with artist Charli XCX for a new film titled The Moment, produced by and starring the ‘BRAT’ singer.
