NewJeans’ Danielle pens letter to ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin: “We’re always on your side”
ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin has released a letter NewJeans member Danielle wrote to her amid the music executive’s dispute with HYBE, which owns the K-pop agency.
Yesterday (July 31), Min Hee-jin took to Instagram with a post of an image of a card that was alleged written by NewJeans’ Danielle, where the K-pop idol described the ADOR CEO as her “mother and warrior”, per Korea JoongAng Daily.
“It’s been two years already. Our CEO who really did the most, thank you so, so much,” wrote the NewJeans member. “So much has happened during the short and long two years that it almost feels like we went through everything we should have in seven years. Maybe it was a sacrifice for the future.”
In the letter, Danielle also thanked Min for “always being dedicated to the work” of being the head of their agency. “You know that we’re always on your side, right? You’re my family,” she added.
“Whatever you choose, I want to be together with you. I want to stay by your side, even if I’m not much help. I always pray for you, support you and love you,” she wrote.
This is the latest sign of support that NewJeans have shown Min Hee-jin amid the ADOR CEO’s feud with HYBE. In May, during an appearance on the South Korean chart show Music Bank, member Minji thanked Min for her contributions to the group.
Meanwhile, ADOR recently lambasted HYBE and the media in a new statement addressing plagiarism allegations over the quintet’s 2024 single ‘Bubble Gum’. The label also denied claims made by English band Shakatak that the writers of ‘Bubble Gum’ had plagiarised the band’s 1981 hit, ‘Easier Said Than Done’.
