Oasis announce Australian dates of Live ’25 reunion tour
Oasis have announced the Australian leg of their 2025 reunion world tour – you can find all the details below.
Liam and Noel Gallagher will play their first live shows together since 2009 next summer, kicking off with huge stadium gigs in the UK and Ireland. From there, the Britpop band are due to head to North America before returning for two extra dates at London’s Wembley Stadium in late September.
Over the weekend, Oasis confirmed that details about their Australian gigs would be shared at 8am AEDT on Tuesday (October 8).
Now, it has been revealed that Oasis will head Down Under in 2025 for concerts at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne (October 31) and the Accor Stadium in Sydney (November 1).
Speaking about their first Australian dates in 19 years, Oasis said in a statement: “People of the land down under. ‘You better run – you better take cover..‘ We are coming. You are most welcome.”
Tickets for the Melbourne show go on general sale at 10am AEDT next Tuesday (October 15), with the Sydney gig scheduled to go on general sale at 12pm AEDT that same day. You’ll be able to buy yours here.
Alternatively, fans can sign up for pre-sale access here before 8am AEDT this Wednesday (October 9). Check out the official tour poster above.
NME exclusively revealed that Oasis would be playing in Sydney and Melbourne in a report last month. The article also listed upcoming appearances in other international territories such as South Korea, Japan, Brazil, Chile and Argentina.
The band previously confirmed that their 2025 UK and Ireland dates would be the only European shows of their comeback tour. They later told fans that plans were “underway” for further performances around the globe.
However, Oasis have ruled out a headline performance at Glastonbury 2025 and said they won’t be appearing at any other festivals next summer. Liam and Noel have shot down rumours of a return to Knebworth in 2026 too.
Meanwhile, fans have been speculating over who will be opening for Oasis at their reunion shows next year. So far, support has only been announced for the North American leg – which will see Cage The Elephant join the line-up.
It was reported last month that Liam Gallagher was seeking “established acts” to appear on the bill. The frontman has since suggested that Manic Street Preachers and Richard Ashcroft could take on opening slots.
Elsewhere, Blossoms recently spoke to NME about the possibility of supporting Oasis at their Live ’25 dates. It currently looks unlikely that Suede or Fontaines D.C. will be on the line-up after Liam hit out at both bands online.
There are also whispers about who’ll complete Oasis’ band line-up alongside Liam and Noel, with original guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs reportedly on board for Live ’25. Other rumoured members include guitarist Gem Archer and bassist Andy Bell. In August, drummer Alan White sparked speculation on his social media – but NME is led to believe that he will not be part of the group.
Last month, Liam teased that “there could be a few new faces” in Oasis “just to freshen things up”.
In other news, Oasis ditched dynamic pricing on their North American tickets after the widely criticised model was implemented for their UK and Ireland dates via Ticketmaster.
The ticketing platform’s “surge pricing” scheme, introduced in 2022, hikes ticket prices based on demand.
