Offset seemingly boasts about cheating on Cardi B in new song ‘Ten’
Offset has dropped the cold-hearted new single ‘Ten’ for Valentine’s Day, where he appears to brag about his infidelity and playboy ways.
Released today (Friday February 14), ‘Ten’ sees the Migos star-turned-solo act seemingly throw shade at his estranged wife Cardi B. The song serves as the follow-up to his toyetic trap singles, ‘Swing My Way’ and ‘Antisocial’, released last December and last month respectively. Offset also shot an accompanying music video for ‘Ten’, which was directed by Kid Art – who also directed the videos for his previous singles – and stars model Anok Yai.
Produced by London Jae, ‘Ten’ sees Offset uses his signature auto-tuned vocals to mischievously sing the chorus on the UK Afroswing-inspired beat: “I don’t need you, I got money / I don’t miss you, I got money / Love you, but not like money.”
He also flaunted his new life as a bachelor, seemingly calling out his estranged wife Cardi B for naively marrying him, despite knowing: “I ain’t sorry ’bout shit, what you talm’ bout’? / You knew a n***a was a dog like a rottweiler / So many hoes, I do the most when I’m out.”
Offset and Cardi B’s relationship has been on and off for many years. They started dating in early 2017 before secretly getting married in September of the same year. They made their relationship public the following month. In 2018, they welcomed their first daughter together, Kulture, before briefly separating that year. They reconciled in 2019 and had their second child, a son called Wave.
Last August, Cardi B announced she was pregnant for a third time with their second daughter and had filed for divorce from the rapper. “Slowly but surely, everybody gotta go their separate ways,” she wrote on Instagram. “My kids gotta get used to that, ‘No, you’re not going to come home every single day and your dad is gonna be here.’ Slowly, but surely.”
Earlier this year, Cardi went on a rant on X/Twitter, accusing Offset and his mother, Latabia Woodward, of stealing from her: “I ain’t listen after you and your momma robbed me. Yeah, you and your mom robbed me cold, wiped my nose. Told you stop fucking playing with me.”
Last year, the Atlanta trap pioneer mostly featured on other artists’ songs: most notably his guest spot on ‘Celebrate’ from the late Juice WRLD’s fifth and final studio album ‘The Party Never Ends’. He also teamed up with Gunna (‘Style Rare’ and ‘Prada Dem’), Blxst (‘Risk Taker’) and Killer Mike (‘EXIT 9’).
The last album Offset dropped was his long-awaited second solo studio album ‘Set It Off’ back in October 2023. NME gave it three stars, writing in a review: “His 2019 solo debut album, ‘Father Of 4’, lacked charm, despite being better than his fellow Migos members’ solo records, and though enjoyable, ‘Set It Off’ doesn’t reflect Offset’s legacy. In the Metro Boomin-produced 2017 single ‘Ric Flair Drip’, Offset alludes that he’s in the same league as the 16-time wrestling champion – perhaps he’s more like Jeff Hardy; a beloved solo figure, but at his best with his brothers.”
