Olivia Rodrigo Jams Out to Herself in New Sony LinkBuds Commercial: Watch

Seeing double? It’s not just you — Olivia Rodrigo is becoming a fan of herself in the latest commercial for Sony LinkBuds with 360 Reality Audio.

In the ad, which dropped on Thursday (Nov. 9), the pop star performs her Guts track “Love Is Embarrassing” on stage while also listening to herself from the audience — wearing a pair of her very own Sony LinkBuds S x Olivia Rodrigo noise cancelling earbuds.

The visual provides an interpretation of Sony’s 360 Audio, an immersive audio experience that utilizes 360 Spatial Sound technologies placing vocals, music, instruments, audience cheers and more into a “spherical sound field” that makes listening to music feel like you’re in the room with your favorite artists.

Sony announced its partnership with the 20-year-old singer in September. As part of the collaboration, Rodrigo designed custom Sony LinkBuds S headphones available in violet.

LinkBuds S x Olivia Rodrigo headphones include two custom EQs tuned by Rodrigo and her producer, Dan Nigro. The eco-friendly earbuds were created with recycled plastic materials from reclaimed water bottles and recycled car parts.

With Rodrigo’s custom earbuds, fans can jam away to Guts and Sour and enjoy the custom EQ setting and immersive 360 Reality Audio for a fully immersive soundscape. The earbuds are available at Sony.com and major retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy and Target.  

Rodrigo’s sophomore album, Guts, was released on September 8. Guts debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and features hit songs like “Vampire” “Bad Idea Right?” and “Get Him Back!”

Fans will get a chance to see Rodrigo on stage for iHeart Radio’s 2023 Jingle Ball tour launching this month and on the Guts World Tour next year. The tour starts on Feb. 23, 2024.
