Olivia Rodrigo Jokes She’ll Change Her Lyrics After Fan Gets Tattoo With Typo
There’s not much you can do after getting a botched tattoo, but in the case of one fan, Olivia Rodrigo may have a solution.
The 21-year-old pop star hilariously reacted to a recent video posted by a Livie who had just gotten one of her lyrics inked on her skin, sans the correct spelling of a key word. The phrase in question? “Address the letters to the holes in my butterfly wings” from Rodrigo’s Sour track “Hope Ur Ok,” of which the fan, named Grace, accidentally got the following iteration: “Address the letters to the holes in my butter wings.”
Showing off the ribcage tat on TikTok, Grace wrote, “this is ur sign to ALWAYS double check the spelling before you get a tattoo.”
“olivia pls change the lyrics officially or sumn to make me feel better,” she added in her caption.
Luckily, Rodrigo came to the rescue. “HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH OMG THIS IS THE NEW LYRIC,” she joked in the comments. “IM CHANGING IT TO BUTTERWINGS.”
The “Vampire” singer herself doesn’t appear to have a ton of experience going under the tattoo needle as far as fans know, although she did once get matching ink with best friend Iris Apatow on a girls night out with Charli D’Amelio and Avani Gregg. The pair didn’t go for anything major, opting for tiny, minimalistic hearts on their fingers.
Rodrigo is currently in the midst of the European leg of her ongoing Guts World Tour, which kicked off in Palm Springs in February. On Wednesday (May 8), she announced nine new shows in Asia and Australia, writing on social media, “so much luv for everyone who has been coming 2 jump and sing and scream!!! Asia and Australia dates just announced!!! hope to see ya there!!!”
