Omarion To Star as Charismatic Hitman in ALLBLK Series ‘Wild Rose’

Omarion is set to star in and executive produce an upcoming original drama series titled Wild Rose. According to Variety, the former B2K lead singer and solo star will take on the lead role of Roosevelt (aka “Rose”), in the ALLBLK series that follows the contract killer whose family also runs a nonprofit.

A description of the series created by Deji LaJay (Escaping Paradise) reveals that, “behind the nonprofit facade is an elite, family-run, hired-gun agency known for taking down high-profile targets.” After his wife and daughter mysteriously walk out and disappear, Rose sets out to find them only to discovers a “web of secrets that force him to question his identity within his own family.”

In a statement, the singer known for his Grammy-nominated 2005 debut solo album O and 2005 No. 4 Billboard Hot 100 collab on Bow Wow’s “Let Me Hold You,” said, “I’m ecstatic that I’m back on your television in a new way. I can’t wait for the Allblk fans and others to see a different side of me. I’ve never played a character quite like this. Let’s just say I’m venturing out of my comfort zone. Every new project is an opportunity to learn, grow and expand my range as an actor. Rose is not your average assassin.”

In addition to releasing three albums with B2K in the early 2000s, Omarion has released a handful of solo albums and starred in the films You Got Served, Fat Albert and Somebody Help Me, as well singing in a Yeti costume on season five of The Masked Singer in 2021.

Wild Rose – which will air on AMC’s Black TV/film service ALLBLK — is slated to begin production in Los Angeles in November, with a debut date and full cast not yet announced.
