‘Pokemon TCG Pocket’ next expansion release date
The next expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket will release on January 30, 2025, and is called Space-Time Smackdown. The set is a Pokemon Diamond & Pearl-themed set including the likes of Palkia, Dialga, the Gen 4 starters and more.
The date was confirmed by the game’s official Twitter/X account in the middle of the month, with the trailer coming a week later. This update appears to be a new full expansion rather than a mini-set, which would mean that a new full card expansion should arrive every 2-3 months.

The set will specifically focus on mostly new cards, avoiding repeat Pokemon to add some more variety to the set. Most of the cards so far have come from the older generations, and before Pokemon Legends Z-A releases, we imagine Nintendo would like to give Scarlet and Violet one final push, alongside the Diamond & Pearl Pokemon.
