Fontaines D.C. have announced details of a massive headline show at London’s Finsbury Park next summer. If you’re an O2 or Virgin Media broadband customer, you can get Priority Tickets ahead of general release now.

After an impressive showing at Glastonbury 2024, Fontaines D.C. are gearing up to release their fourth album ‘Romance’ later this month. The nu-metal inspired record is due out August 23, shortly before the band take to the main stage of Reading & Leeds 2024.

Speaking to NME backstage at Glastonbury, guitarist Carlos O’Connell said: “For the first time, it’s an album that looks at our present with a forward view, you know?”

“I think in the past we’ve either tried to live in the past or missed the past. Now we’re trying to understand the world we live in right now and not try to think of something that’s gone, but think of what’s to come,” he added.

Now, following a UK headline tour in November, Fontaines D.C. have confirmed they’re set to follow the likes of  The 1975, Arctic Monkeys and Sam Fender by headlining London’s Finsbury Park next summer. The mammoth show will take place on Saturday July 5 while support will come from Kneecap and Amyl And The Sniffers. More acts are set to be added to the “specially curated lineup” nearer the time.

In a five-star review of their set at Glastonbury 2024, NME called Fontaines D.C. “the defining band of their generation, still”.

“Tears are shed and vocal cords strained, yes, but there’s a shared understanding that there may be teenagers here experiencing the full guts and potency of guitar music for the first time, as well many older fans feeling reinvigorated by this emotional spectacle,” the review continued.

Priority Tickets for Fontaine D.C’s show at Finsbury Park are available now here. Tickets go on general sale this Friday (August 9) at 10am.
