PS Plus October 2024 games – when can you expect the announcement?
October could be a really big month for PS Plus as most of Sony’s tentpole releases for the year are now out. After a solid summer, this could be the start of a really exciting end-of-year season for PS Plus.
Below, you can read up on when the PS Plus announcement for the month will happen, what we know so far, and our predictions for the month’s games.
PS Plus October 2024 games
The PS Plus October 2024 games will be announced for the Essential tier on September 25, 2024, and made available on October 1, 2024. The Extra and Premium games will be revealed on October 9, 2024, and available from October 15, 2024.
While we don’t have any confirmed games yet, here are our predictions for the Essential games.
‘Warhammer: Age of Sigmar – Realms of Ruin’ – PS5
Wage a campaign of brutal conquest in this realm-shattering real-time strategy game set in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe. Become a warlord and lead four unique factions to conquer the wild and savage Realm of Ghur in tense and tactical battles. The game didn’t sell well at launch and reviews have been mixed so it seems like the perfect chance to get some more players in about a year after launch.
‘The Lord of the Rings: Return To Moira’ – PS5
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria follows the Dwarves as they embark on a new adventure to reclaim their legendary home of Moria beneath the Misty Mountains. Players will join forces to survive, craft, build, and explore the iconic, sprawling mines. Courageous expeditioners will need to be vigilant as mysterious dangers await.
Summoned to the Misty Mountains by Lord Gimli Lockbearer, players take control of a company of Dwarves tasked to reclaim the lost spoils from the Dwarven homeland of Moria – known as Khazad-dûm or Dwarrowdelf – in the depths below their very feet. Their quest will require fortitude, delving deep into the Mines of Moria to recover its treasures.
‘New Tales From The Borderlands’ – PS5, PS4
Take a stand against ruthless corporate overlords in this narrative-driven adventure! Within the perpetually war-torn metropolis of Promethea, you’ll control Anu, Octavio, and Fran on the worst day of their lives. Help these three lovable losers as they endeavour to change the world (and maybe even save it)! Face down a planetary invasion, vicious vault monster, and cold-hearted capitalist in this cinematic thrill ride where what happens next is up to you!
Meet a motley cast full of misfits, assassin bots, and talking guns in this race to the top! It’s time to fight back against exploitation and corporate greed. It’s time to make Mayhem your business.

- Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions – PS5, PS4 (Available until October 1, 2024)
- MLB The Show 24 – PS5, PS4 (Available until October 1, 2024)
- Little Nightmares 2 – PS5, PS4 (Available until October 1, 2024)
